Godmanchester Rovers out to complete a cup double as curtain comes down on an eventful season

Hyem will lead the local side into Hinchingbrooke Cup final action tonight (Wednesday) when they face Pinchbeck United at the Branch Bros Stadium in Peterborough (7.45pm).

A mouth-watering clash is in prospect between a Rovers side who finished third in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division and their Lincolnshire opponents, who ended up fourth in their debut United Counties League Premier Division campaign.

Drake praises Goddy youngsters after thriller

Godmanchester Rovers manager Ollie Drake was full of praise for his youngsters after coming out on the right side of a seven-goal thriller on Saturday.

The 16-year-old Harvey Gargiulo scored a superb winner to earn his side a 4-3 success over struggling Gorleston in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division, who alongside fellow youth player Harrison Radwell, made their senior debuts at Bearscroft Lane.

Harradine helps Rovers win the County Cup with treble in the final

Buster Harradine feels he has proved his doubters wrong after scoring the second county cup final hat-trick of his career on Tuesday night.

Harradine netted three times as Godmanchester Rovers beat St Neots Town 6-0 in the Hunts Senior Cup final - five years after he did the same for Soham Town Rangers in their 2014 Cambs Invitation Cup final win.

Godmanchester Rovers lifted the Hunts Senior Cup after dishing out a final drubbing to St Neots Town as they breezed to a 6-0 triumph.

It was every bit as emphatic as the scoreline suggests at the Premier Plus Stadium. In fact it was men against boys as Ollie Drake’s side had the trophy in the bag by half-time.
