Ollie Drake is staying on as Godmanchester Rovers manager for the rest of this season.
Drake told the Hunts Post last week that he was considering his future at the helm.

But he is now committed for the current campaign and is determined to turn around Rovers' fortunes.

They fell to a fourth defeat in their last five games in all competitions when being beaten 3-1 at Newmarket Town in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division last Saturday.

Ollie Drake is contemplating his future as Godmanchester Rovers manager.

Scraping victory against rock-bottom opposition with a stoppage-time penalty might not usually be the cue for wild celebrations.
But it was the exact scenario which left Godmanchester Rovers boss Ollie Drake feeling ecstatic last Saturday.

Hall came back to his hometown club for a third spell in the summer

When Jonny Hall was looking for a new club in the summer, it was a ‘no-brainer’ once the club he calls home was interested.

Having left Potton United, the experienced former St Ives, St Neots and Soham defender returned for a third spell at Eastern Counties Premier club Godmanchester Rovers.

There, he linked up once more with twin brother James, a striker who also returned for a third spell with Goddy having left St Neots midway through last season.

Frustrations for Drake following midweek cup exit

All Ollie Drake wants for Christmas is to be able to name a consistent side from one week to another at Godmanchester Town.

After an excellent campaign last season, Goddy are realistically out of the title race after an inconsistent start in the Eastern Counties Premier, and were knocked out of the League Challenge Cup 1-0 by Mildenhall Town on Tuesday night.

They still have the Hunts Senior Cup and Hinchingbrooke Cup, which they won last season, to defend, but manager Drake is more concerned with player availability.
