I need to miss football if I'm to go back to it, says Niall Conroy

Godmanchester Rovers keeper will hang up his gloves at the end of the season
Niall Conroy insists he will never say never to returning in the future, but is looking forward to taking a break from football.

The former St Ives, St Neots, Histon, Soham, Cambridge City and Haverhill Borough keeper has announced that he will quit playing at the end of this season, despite being aged only 27.

But he has promised to see out the season with his current club, Godmanchester Rovers, in the Eastern Counties Premier before hanging up his gloves.
