We are delighted to finally get the green light on the funding for the 3G pitch. It has been a long time coming and I am sure many thought it would never happen. Lots of hard work and help from partners at Hunts FA and Huntingdonshire District Council finally paid off when the Football Foundation signed off the project last month. The last major hurdle was overcome last week when an archaeology investigation showed no signs of any findings of interest.

We are now working with colleagues at the Football Foundation and the main contractor to ensure all other planning conditions are met before the actual work can begin. The aim is for the pitch to be open ready for the 2025/26 season. It is a massive step forward for the club for the development of our own youth and senior teams, as well as being a huge asset for the Huntingdonshire District with the other all weather pitches being at capacity in the peak season.

However the exciting developments off the pitch do not stop with the 3G as we are planning and delivering other improvements on and off the pitch over the summer months ready for the challenges of next season. We are looking forward to the 1st team bouncing back from the disappointment of relegation, whilst the reserves, youth and ladies sections continue their excellent progress, and the U18s embark on another journey with their new management set up.

We will post more details of the further developments as they come to fruition over the coming weeks. Thanks to all the supporters for their commitment this season and we are looking forward to seeing you refreshed and ready to cheer on the youth, ladies and senior players again next year.
