Godmanchester Rovers Football Club and Hunts Timebank are delighted to announce a new partnership that will bring together the power of grassroots football and community volunteering to benefit local residents across Huntingdonshire.
As a longstanding community football club, Godmanchester Rovers FC has always played an important role both on and off the pitch. This new collaboration will help the club raise awareness of the Timebank's work, encourage volunteering, and support initiatives that bring local people together.
Hunts Timebank operates on a simple principle: every hour of time given to help others earns a time credit that can be exchanged for support from another member. The scheme enables people to share skills, build confidence, reduce isolation, and strengthen community networks.
Godmanchester Rovers FC and Hunts Timebank invite local residents, supporters, players, businesses and community organisations to get involved and learn more about the opportunities available through this exciting collaboration.
Richard Cosbey, Chairman of Godmanchester Rovers Football Club, said:
"We are incredibly pleased to be partnering with Hunts Timebank. Football clubs are at the heart of their communities, and this partnership gives us another opportunity to support people beyond the game itself. We look forward to working together to encourage volunteering, connect people, and make a positive impact across the area."
Susan Lawson at Hunts Timebank, said:
"We are excited to be working with Godmanchester Rovers Football Club. Their strong community spirit and wide reach make them a fantastic partner. Together, we can inspire more people to get involved, share their skills and time, and help build an even stronger, more connected community."
