Ollie Drake believes his Godmanhester Rovers side would have no problems playing at step four following their FA Cup clash with St Neots.

Goddy were knocked out 3-1 in Tuesday night’s preliminary round replay, despite a Jack Chandler strike, but were unfortunate not to have beaten the Southern One Central side in the original tie.

Marc Abbott praised the mentality of his young St Neots Town side after winning last night’s FA Cup replay against Godmanchester Rovers 3-1.

The Saints have had a mixed start to the season following relegation from the Southern Premier and were fortunate to come out of the original tie against an experienced Goddy side, albeit from a league below, with a second bite of the cherry.

Manager Marc Abbott hailed man of the moment Prince Mutswunguma after St Neots Town stormed to FA Cup success last night.

The attacking ace hit a hat-trick to inspire a 3-1 victory against local rivals Godmanchester Rovers in a preliminary round replay.

Saints' reward is almost £3,000 in prize money and a home tie against higher-level Biggleswade Town this Saturday.

Godmanchester Rovers shrug off dismissal and injury to continue winning streak

Godmanchester Rovers overcame the pre-match loss of their captain and a controversial first-half dismissal to continue their Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division winning streak.

Ollie Drake's men reeled off a third consecutive league victory when beating Whitton United 3-1 at the David Wilson Homes Ground last Saturday.

It’s a case of watch and learn as technology boosts Godmanchester Rovers’ bid for glory

Manager Ollie Drake hopes the use of modern technology can aid Godmanchester Rovers’ pursuit of glory.

The local club claimed a first Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division victory of the season when breezing past Gorleston at the David Wilson Homes Ground.

Drake enjoyed the first viewing of the 4-0 rout last Saturday afternoon and he certainly won't have minded studying the match in detail again since then.
